This introductory report outlines the analytical framework employed for the study, examines the Philippines recent economic growth and the recent revitalization of the manufacturing sector and provides an introduction to relevant elements of Philippine investment, trade and education policies. Key findings for the Philippines in Manufacturing Global Value Chains project were presented at a public forum at the Makati Diamond Residential Suites in Manila on June 2, 2016.
