Publications need to meet the following three criteria to be accepted by the review committee:
- The piece must reference the GVC paradigm in a non-superficial way. Our goal is to constrain the database to work that substantially engages with or utilizes the key concepts that have been developed in the published literature on Global Commodity Chains and Global Value Chains.
- The piece must be formally published, either in a refereed journal, book, or established working paper series. Though imperfect, we use this criterion to control for quality.
- The piece needs to be in the English language or, at a minimum, have an English language abstract or summary which demonstrates that the article meets the first two criteria. Please supply electronic copies of any documents you think would help us in the review process (drafts are acceptable) - gvc@duke.edu. They will only be used for internal purposes and deleted after the review is complete.
Upon submission, the publication will be entered in the database on a conditional basis, pending approval, and may be deleted later without notification for the reasons stated.
If your submission is rejected and you feel we have made an error in our decision, please let us know and we will be happy to reconsider the document.
